Dr. Manickam teaches classes on Mexican culture and civilization as well as Hispanic literature at the undergraduate level. At the graduate level his seminars cover the Mexican novel and short story as well as the Latin American novel and essay.
A specialist in twentieth and twenty-first century Latin American narrative, Dr. Manickam's research focuses on Mexican narrative, especially women writers and science fiction.
