The Congress-Bundestag Youth Exchange for Young Professionals (CBYX) is now accepting applications for 2014-2015!

This program is fully funded by the US and German governments through a grant from the US Department of State under the Fulbright-Haywood Act. CBYX is open to student in all areas of study and all levels of study, from incoming freshmen to graduating seniors. Applicants must be between the ages of 18-24, have a high school diploma and be a US Citizen or Permanent Resident.

CBYX annuallly selects 75 students to participate in this program. Prior German language knowledge is preferred, but not required. Applicants should have clear career goals and work experience in their career field.

Selected students will receive:

  • 2 months of intensive German language training
  • Semester of study at a German university or university of applied sciences
  • 5-month internship with a German company in the participant's career field
  • Homestays with German host families, in shared apartments, and student dorms
  • Transatlantic airfare, health insurance, and monthly living expense stipends
  • Local in-country support throughout the program
